About the Mersey Wave Choir
Formed in 2013 the Mersey Wave Choir is a 50+ strong mixed voice choir based in South Liverpool open to members from across the North West with no previous singing experience or audition required!

The choir practises weekly and performs a wide variety of styles and genres in concert and at community events.
In February 2013 and 2014 Mersey Wave also hosted two special concerts in collaboration with the Froncysyllte Male Voice Choir and will continue this series on February 19th at St Ambrose Church, Speke. During 2014 the choir were filmed in rehearsal and during a performance at the Pier Head, Liverpool and featured on BBC1’s The One Show. They also gave a performance at the Epstein Theatre, Liverpool in aid of the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital.

Earlier in December the choir performed at the topping-out ceremony for the new Liverpool University Hospital and are due to perform at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall in January 2015.
Members of the choir come from across Cheshire and Merseyside to rehearse weekly in Hale Village, learning a variety of styles and genres of music.
The Choir regularly participates and provide music for community events previously including: Church services, Runcorn Christmas Festival, Hale Village Race Day and Carnival, and South Liverpool Housing Neighbours Day in Speke and Garston, and recently performed as part of St Ambrose Primary School’s Music Week.
