The Mersey Wave annual Christmas concert took place on the 18th December 2015 at St Ambrose Church, Speke with performances from mezzo-soprano Kathryn Rudge, the Mersey Wave Choir – Directed by Jason Ellis, the Mersey Wave Young Singers and piano and organ by Owen Roberts. This festive concert included carols and musical songs and sing-alongs for all family, together with a tombola, raffle and refreshments.
The concert raised £425 for the youth activities of the local Parish of St Ambrose and St Christopher, Speke and £125 for the chosen charity of Mersey Wave – ‘R Charity’ which raises funds for the vital work taking place at the Royal University of Liverpool Hospital.
The Mersey Wave Choir will next perform at Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall on 15th January 2016 and a concert will take place with the Fron Male voice choir at St Ambrose Church, Speke on 19th February 2016.
