Mersey Wave Music groups enjoyed a busy December beginning with a spectacular Christmas themed annual concert at St Ambrose Church, Speke. There were performances from the Mersey Wave Choir, Mersey Wave Young Singers and mezzo-soprano Kathryn Rudge entertaining an audience who were also in fine voice during the carols – getting everyone firmly in the ‘Christmas Spirit!’ The concert collection raised funds for RCharity, Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Hospital Charitable Funds and Speke Youth Fund.
The Choir were delighted to support good causes over the christmas period through outdoor Christmas performances at a local Tesco Store for Diabetes UK where the choir helped to raise over £300, Lime Street Station – for Heart Research UK, and the RSPCA by performing at a local animal rescue.
The beautiful setting of the Great hall – Speke Hall, Liverpool hosted a very special festive performance given by the Mersey Wave Choir on the 14th December.
