Professional Music Tuition
To succeed in the mastery of a musical instrument you need to love playing. At Industrial studios we emphasise developing that passion for music along with tuition of the highest standard, provided in a relaxed and active music studio by a team of professional musicians.
Safe and enjoyable Playing
Our priorities when teaching is to make sure you play with the best and safest technique possible. We will begin by making sure you make music in a way that will give you many years effortless enjoyment of your instrument and/or voice
Developing confidence, concentration and focus
Making music can often give the student a new form of expressions and always helps develop confidence, presentation skills, communication skills. We also work on concentration levels, focus because these are essential elements to learning anything to a high level
Music Mastery & Improvisation
To be able to improvise and compose on your chosen instrument requires a deep theoretical knowledge of music and your instrument. Our Music Mastery course is an 1 to 1 weekly session designed to allow you to express yourself from day 1 with your own music with less focus on reading music and more on understanding the common patterns that make up most great music and mastering instrument technique.
Performance Goals
We believe no musical tuition is complete without the opportunity to perform to others. These moments of focus consolidate all the lessons and provide a focus to the tuition. If you have your own performance opportunities then that is great, we will work towards making it your best performance ever! If not we have two types of goal to work towards with you:
Performance and Recording oppertunities
Our music tuition is based in an active recording studio with bands and artists (including the tutors themselves) visiting to record every day. Oppertunities to perform with others and perform to an audience will be scheduled in as part of the learning process internally and at external concerts giving you the oppertunities to show off your new skills!
ABRSM & Trinity Guildhall Examinations
Tuition and guidance through the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music and Trinity Guildhall Exam scheme is available and provides an excellent focus to our tuition. The following are available for students of any ability and adult learners specialising in Piano of all styles, Singing, Bass and Lead Guitar, and Drums
Those wishing to pursue this pathway to learning would typically expect to take one exam per year alongside learning other music of the students own choice.
Student Commitment
We recommend weekly lessons for most abilities with a minimum of 30 mins per lessons. If it feels beneficial for the student to have 1 hour lessons then your can arrange this with your teacher. Each lesson is paid for in advance in blocks of 5 or 10. The teacher will attend each session so it is recommended you take advantage of your booked time by attending and practising at home for at least twice the lesson length between sessions.
Fees and refunds
We believe routine is essential to learning so each lesson time is booked and paid for in groups of 5 or 10 in advance. We offer a free trial lesson so student and teacher is able to properly assess suitability. If both are happy to continue 5 lessons can be booked. Lessons can be rearranged with your teachers but fees are non-refundable.
