Important Notice for our Mersey Wave Community Following the developing situation around COVID-19, Mersey Wave is moving to online choir practices and teaching this week.  We would also like to reach out to inform you that we are coordinating a support network – with a focus on prioritising the health and wellbeing of our members and local community (your friends and family included).
We are initially collating a list of names and telephone numbers of anyone who would be willing/able to be involved.  We would also like to identify members of our community who may currently be or become most vulnerable and/or isolated – in order that we can all provide as much emotional and practical support as possible over the coming weeks and months. Please send responses via our contact form and we will keep you updated via e-mail should you wish to be kept up to date.

Please share this page and if you know of other groups and organisations within our local area  that are also providing support please let us know and we will share those contact details and links with you all.

Mersey Wave already has an amazing community spirit – and we have no doubt that supporting each other, even in small ways, will be of great benefit to us all throughout this time. Please find below a few initial ideas and, as always, we welcome your thoughts and contributions too…
Emotional Support
Natter Buddies  – Friendly conversations – Helping people through isolation

Please let us know if you would like us to add your telephone number to our growing list of ‘Natter Buddies.’  This will give other members the chance to call you should they wish to talk to someone.

If you know of anyone who would like to receive ‘friendly‘ phone calls during this time and they are not online or on our mailing list please let us know and we can add them.   We can put together a list that can then be circulated.

These conversations may only be short, but regular contact will greatly help to support anyone who is isolated.  This is will also be a good way to find out  if anybody needs further practical support and address any concerns together – The ‘Action and Response’ Team can also be ready to help.
